The Year of Blargh

Does anyone else agree? Can we get a refund on 2020? Because I would really love a refund on 2020. We’re almost through March, and here’s a brief recap of how things have gone since January:

I think we’ve really earned that refund. Also, it’s an election year in the States, which is always its own special brand of crazy.

Y’know, once we got past the potential of another crisis in Iran, and once things cooled off in Australia, I was hoping that the news out of China wouldn’t turn into anything worse than it already was, and I was really looking forward to March. Because March is NaKniCroMo, or National Knitting/Crotcheting Month. At least for some people, myself included. Not that it’s limited to knitting or crocheting though; you can pretty much set a goal for whatever fiber-related craft you enjoy and have at it. And also chat with other fiber-craft enthusiasts on the Discord. It’s a lot of fun!

Sadly, like so many other things this year, my plans of finishing two incomplete and overdue projects this month have fallen by the wayside. Happily, I’m managing to avoid the plague so far (bronchitis is an entirely different story), and I’m going to try and at least finish the arm warmers that were meant to be my roommate’s Christmas present. Fingers crossed!

In conclusion, this year has been an absolute dumpster fire of a year and we’re only 3 months in. Everyone pick your favorite 20 second clip to wash your hands to and you know, actually wash your freaking hands, don’t panic, and for the love of all that’s good and holy, don’t hoard useful things and remember to vote!
